The Herbelin family’s passion for sailing runs through the DNA of the popular NEWPORT collection, which marked the brand’s international breakthrough in 1988. The design of the NEWPORT SLIM line remodels and refines the NEWPORT for a new era in the design of the legendary Newport collection, without losing sight of its nautical origins. Classic, elegant and urban at the same time, the NEWPORT SLIM inspires with a flat, streamlined silhouette and attention to detail, without losing sight of the NEWPORT’s origins and characteristics. The NEWPORT SLIM is powered by a mechanical Swiss Made movement with manual winding.

The polished round stainless steel case is 42 mm in diameter and only 7.3 mm thick. The extra-flat case features flat, faceted central lugs and a crown with an engraved Herbelin-style steering wheel. It is divided into three faceted levels with a polished surface. Depending on the incidence of light, these reflect playfully in all directions. This effect can be observed above all on the polished stainless steel bezel with the discreetly engraved NEWPORT lettering. In keeping with the NEWPORT SLIM style, it is deliberately purist and dispenses with anything superfluous.

The black and deep blue dial impresses with wonderful color effects, depending on the intensity of the light. It already appears navy blue when exposed to a little light, but shines in a wonderful “Newport blue” in the sun. The elongated silver-colored stainless steel indices are elegantly slim and puristic. The SLIM look of the NEWPORT is rounded off with the faceted sword-shaped stainless steel hands that perfectly match the indices. They make the overall composition easy to read and underline the classic, elegant touch. The dial, created with great attention to detail, is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

Inside the two-hand watch in extra-flat style ticks a mechanical Swiss Made movement with manual winding and a power reserve of 45 hours. The transparent back allows a view of the movement, which is decorated with 19 jewels and powered at a frequency of 28,000 A/h (4Hz).

The slightly thinner black leather strap also has the SLIM look, with a skin-thin rubber coating and crocodile embossing. The latter gives the NEWPORT SLIM a soft, matt look and perfectly completes its appearance. It is extremely comfortable to wear and closes securely with a stainless steel pin buckle. The timepiece of the new NEWPORT SLIM ERA impresses with its classic urban appeal, competence and great attention to detail! Unmistakably HERBELIN!
